Actually, there are many kind of Silat, such as Silat Gayong, Silat Cekak, Pencak Silat, Silat Hanafi and more. Silat from Malaysia, and is a combat art of Malay race which has been practiced since centuries ago. In Malaysia there is hundreds of teaching martial. Indeed. There silat martial-old to use the keris, swords, kerambit, swords, sticks, tembong and Sword.However, there is also a martial did not use weapons or fighting with empty hands.

Silat Gayong 
Martial Art founded by the late master Gayong Dato 'Meor Abdul Rahman bin Uda MohdHashim. He studied silat from his grandfather Syed Zainal bin Syed Idris Al-Attas.Martial Arts this Gayong believed to have existed since the days of the Malacca Sultanate and was used by the chief-commander of Malacca in the fight againstPortuguese colonialism.
